WHAT IS AN APPRENTICESHIP?

As an Apprentice you will:

  • Train for a specific job

  • Receive a wage and holiday leave

  • Gain experience within a real workplace

  • Study for 6 hours of your paid working time per week (full-time - 20% of your working hours if part time)

  • Find yourself on an exciting career path with lots of potential

  • Receive a nationally recognised qualification which is an attraction for current and future employers

APPRENTICESHIP STANDARDS

Apprenticeships Standards are made up of several elements. These can include:

  • Initial Assessment

  • On Programme Training of Skills, Knowledge and Behaviours

  • Functional Skills

  • Gateway

  • End Point Assessment

WHO CAN DO AN APPRENTICESHIP?

To become an apprentice, you must:

  • Be 16 or over

  • Not already be in full-time education

  • Live in England
